Skincare and Men
You may be surprised to know that women do not have the market cornered when it comes to skincare. Men are getting into the game and buying skincare products more than ever. A 2018 study by Mintel shows that 84% of men between the ages of 18-44 use some form of facial skincare. Who would have thought men are just as vain as women? Well pull up a chair, and let me pour you some knowledge on the men’s skincare market!
The men’s skincare market is a billion dollar business. Men are not as vocal as women about buying skincare products. Trust me, they are buying skincare products to the tune of 166 billion dollars, per Allied Market Research. Men are scooping up more products besides their traditional razors, and Old Spice deodorant. Skincare products that present a gender neutral approach work best for men. The gender neutral approach is seen as less “feminine”. Dove did a poll and discovered that 35% of men have concerns about under eye circles, and dull skin. Ladies, does this sound familiar?!
We all want great skin whether we admit or it not. So, men let me give you a few pointers to help guide you on your skincare journey. Always remember there are three essential steps to skincare: Cleanse, Moisturize, and Renew
Cleanse – Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser that does not have alcohol.
Moisturize – Apply moisturizer but be gentle when applying any cream around your eyes. The skin around your eyes can be delicate, so take caution.
Renew – Renew your skin periodically by incorporating a clay mask into your skincare routine. P.S. we won’t tell your guy friends. Clay masks have the potential to absorb oils from your skin and prevent mild forms of acne, such as pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads.
Don’t be afraid to try new products and take control of your skin. Identify the skincare opportunities you want to work on. Do you want to remove raccoon eyes, tone up your complexion, reduce pores, or all three? Rinnovare’s skincare line is gender neutral and men love it. It has all the products you’ll need to help cleanse, moisturize and renew your skin. Your skin is designed to last you a lifetime, but you have to help nurture it. You don’t have to be born with great skin, just use a great product to help meet your skincare goal. Remember nothing great happens overnight and consistency is the key. Develop your skincare routine and stick to it. Happy hunting and good luck on your new skincare journey!
